The overall scope for this project includes the analysis of Sixmile Creek starting downstream of Roosevelt Avenue and continuing upstream to IH‐35. The overall project will entail channel and bridge improvements between Hutchins Place and Roosevelt Avenue to reduce the structural flooding along Six Mile Creek. The intent of the project is to reduce the floodplain in the residential areas and provide for unflooded access across South Flores during the 100-year ultimate development storm event. This segment of the project is to reconstruct the existing channel from the new South Flores Street bridge to Ashley Road (approximately 6,500 feet).
