Scope:
This project will reduce flooding near the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and VFW Blvd. by means of a new storm drainage system in VFW Blvd. The storm drain will accept the water at the intersection and drain it to the San Antonio River. This project will be completed in two segments:
Segment 1: From Padre Dr. to the San Antonio River outfall; this was completed in January of 2013 prior to the completion of the Mission County Park improvements.
Segment 2: From Roosevelt Rd. to Padre Dr.; construction started in April 2013 and will include the construction of curbs, pavement, drainage inlets, sidewalks and the traffic signalization at the intersection of Roosevelt Ave.
